LiviLu Baby and a note on Shipping Times

Here is MORE fun Sand dollar gorgeousness from LiviLu Baby!
Click on the photos to Visit Denise & Katie's shop full of splendid eye candy

Uh Oh! We are severely backed up on our production and shipping times! April's orders have just shipped and we are working on orders placed during the first two weeks of May this upcoming week. The rush list has reached a point where I can no longer really call it a "rush" list :( I have made it unavailbale until we get caught up.

Daniel and I are both overwhelmed with gratitude for the constant support from all of our loyal clientele. Once our retail boutique opens this week, our schedule should get back to a normal pace and by the end of July we anticipate the wait for bead shipment to be back at 2 weeks, and the rush list to be back to 3-5 days. In the meantime please accept our sincerest apologies for your wait and know that we will be adding in yummy bonus beads with each order this month. If you can no longer wait for your beads please do let us know so we can cancel your order, and if you are able to wait thank you!!

This is not normal and has only occurred as Daniel and I are branching out with our business to include a local boutique and have had to move our household and studio, and have been working overtime creating stock for the grand opening. We both hope to continue to supply you with our line of handcrafted glass beads well into the future and thanks so much for your patience during this bump in the road. Beading Jenelle & Daniel

Be sure to swing by their Etsy Shop and add them to your favs

Here is an excerpt from the listing description for this yummy piece :

"This bracelet reminds me of walking on the beach, picking up seashells and sand dollars! I made this bracelet using this awesome Artisan lampwork sand dollar focal bead that I purchased from SFDglass. The remaining Artisan lampwork beads include 2 beautiful Boro lampwork beads that have a really cool wavey look. I also added numerous Artisan lampwork beads including boro disc beads and etched beads and a touch of Bali sterling silver rondelle beads.I finished this bracelet off with a chunky and very detailed toggle clasp, 5 danglies that includes a sterling silver seashell, Swarovski crystal starfish, sterling silver clam shell and neon apatite rondelle beads. It is so much more beautiful in person!" :::Lovely! :::

I just added a few new designs to our Ebay & Etsy Shop catalogs this afternoon, some nice etchies in organics and seeds, and we have some super sales going on at the moment. Be sure to get in your votes for the free-bead giveaway drawing coming up, winners to be announced on the 15th! Beading Love~ j

Web site down:(

Just a quick note about our web sites, I host Sortafloweringdesigns.com and livingbotanical.com through PappaShop web hosting and their servers were attacked yesterday which resulted in our sfd web site being completely offline...so if you happen to stop by and see the error message, it is only temporary while they get things straightened out. I am also not able to log in to get to my order details, so if you are waiting on a web order my apologies. I have been assured they are working on the issue as fast as they can.

beads and botanicalsAlso a quick update on our shop! I have started a new blog for our Beads and Botanicals store Beadsbot.com, please feel free to visit for updates, we are hoping to open our doors very soon :)

If interested feel free to add me to your facebook friends so you can see the photo gallery that I am updating as we get our new shop all retail ready. We are located in a pretty little historic downtown area and I am enjoying posting tidbits about our neighborhood. Our Boutique will be home to our glass lampwork beads as well as my personal line of Vegan and Organic Bath and Body wares such as lip balms, soaps, soy candles, solid lotions, and other fun blends of botanical bounty.

I am planning on keeping our ebay shop online after all, as long as we are able to- it is difficult keeping up a good rating with our custom work shipping times taking a matter of several weeks, the ratings really affect our listing placements. I am not sure if we will ever be able to keep a good clientele there that is tolerant of waiting, ebay is such a rush rush ordeal. I will also be keeping our Etsy shop open, mostly to host our Glass Lampwork Ebook Tutorials, and of course our web site (oh how I miss it and it's only been a day!!) will be back up and running soon, fingers crossed:P

I have some extremely talented Jewelry Designers to show off to you all soon! The next post will be some eye candy so be prepared!!

Hugs and Beading Love ♥ Jenelle

few bad apples

Ebay has a few bad apples. People who order custom work and do not want to wait. I am not McBEads, and have received neg feedback from two noob ebayers recently, people with less than 10 feedbacks on their record. I wish I could ban people with fewer than 100 feedbacks from buying from us, unless they get permission. People should really know how to behave! They say things to me via email that they would never say to my face, really show their backside and I am tired of taking it, so I am about done with the bay and done with online sales. Daniel and I are opening up a retail shop for our beads and botanicals line in a nice neighborhood with other nice businesses which should attract nice people. nice people rule mean people can shop on ebay, where I will soon remove my handcrafted goodies availability. Daniel and I are finishing up this last month's custom work, and will continue to have sales and accommodate our loyal designers for another month or so -so they can stock up. Then I am pulling the ebay plug and etsy as well, our glass bead design line will only be available on our web site, to serious designers who have an account with us.

A few bad apples can ruin the fruit salad for everyone. Jenelle

Simply Unique Jewlery ♥

New SfD Designer of the Moment, Simply Unique Jewelry ♥ Check out Betty's Creations in her ArtFire Shop as well as on Etsy ..... I love this excerpt from her Etsy Artist's Statement:

"I love working with color to create strong contrasts and beautiful, unique items. I am inspired by nature, sunsets, beautiful skies, the beads and stones themselves, but mainly color. I love the way one color plays off of and influences another. Sometimes it is the shine, or the texture that attracts me, but always the colors hold me."

The Necklace above is a stunning example of her artistry, the piece is called "Forest Walk" which includes so many wonderful elements such as Olive Bronze Cultured Pearls, Sfd Glass Diamond Beads, Aquamarine Rounds, and Czech Glass. Divine.
